SCHOOL, DRAWING AND BOXCUTTERS

Ever since the school season started I have completely drained myself from drawing. Just so you know I go to art school, and not being able to draw in my art classes is one of the worst things that happens to me. I don't even plan on pursuing an art career. It's not my focus. Every time I can't draw all of the sudden, my art classes are just classes, I spend those times just walking around the room and talking to people. I'm supposed to start my rough copy now yet I have 3 out of 4 thumbnails done.

Enough with the school talk, let's talk about boxcutters. I love boxcutters. Great knives and great for pockets. And most importantly they're great to paint and decorate on. A few days ago, I bought more boxcutters to decorate. I use acrylic paint markers to paint them, then protect it with a layer of clear nail polish. It's not really good in my opinion because it would fade the colors away or leave scratches from the brush. Other than that it's still okay, I can just paint another layer over it.

Buggy's birthday

 

August 8 was Buggy the Clown's birthday, which was yesterday

I didn't have time to finish this guy's little drawing so I bought a funko pop all the way from a mall that's 18km away from me, made two bracelets and a little shrine dedicated to him. Happy late birthday to Buggy because I love him a lot

BEING A WRITER IS SO HARD :-(

Look, as much as I like to create things, actually writing it is the biggest issue for me. Especially when you overthink about how you execute it. It's the most uncomfortable feeling to go through; You'll feel embarrassed, not confident and stupid just because the first draft wasn't as you expected

But worry not!!! That's when you realize that it's just the first, second, third, whatever draft. Because it's just a draft, you are still figuring things out with the story you want to share to people. Personally for me, I have a perfectionist mindset and I have problems dealing with the flaws seen in my projects, which is trying to not change them too much. Changing too much in details can ruin your thing which therefore will turn your execution into something you didn't try to execute. TL;DR: Don't overdo your remedies in your stories otherwise it'll turn into something you don't like. Don't give up on your dreams, keep writing and drawing and working hard, because in the end it will be rewarding!!! :-)

I just thought of making a blog about this because I usually have trouble with writing and probably just wanted to cope and let it out haha.

FUN TIME AT AN ILLUSTRATION PICNIC : - )

Yup! This was my second time in a picnic full of really cool artist. I got a meet a bunch of new people, though some of them already followed me in Instagram I never gotten a chance to talk to them in person. Whattaday!!!

It was really hot today, and if you are in Alberta you know the air quality's pretty bad in this season. It didn't affect me as much and it was less worse than yesterday which is a blessing. The picnic was around 17-20 km away from where I live so the transit was a little tacky especially with lots of walking in such a hot weather. Luckily we weren't too late when we arrived. There was a bunch of people that were there and I invited a few friends on the way with me. We stayed for a few hours, talking and eating food. I also got to play some catch with a fella. After all of that we left and said goodbye to everyone.

But we didn't go home yet, we went to 7-Eleven and a really cool garden center.

Okay so there's a thing with me and plants; I love them. I don't know much about botany but taking care of plants, especially a succulent, keeps me alive. I used to have a kalanchoe, but unfortunately she didn't live long due to root rot, so I gotta be careful next time. I was thinking to getting a new plant, unfortunately I didn't get anything from the garden because me and my friends rushed to the bus stop since it was about to come in a few minutes. But it didn't and we had to wait for 13 minutes.

During our commute back home, me and my friends were approached by this sketchy and seemingly homeless guy. He asked us if we want to buy headphones from him. Honestly I was actually thinking of buying one. But I didn't because my friends told me not to and that he'd probably use the money for crack. I still feel bad and regret that I didn't get some cool headphones because I spent my entire commuting back home listening to music through the phone speaker like always. 

And after all of that, we all just went home. I had lots of fun meeting others and hanging out in the outdoors since I haven't got to go out for a while. I still should have bought those headphones though. Haha

1st blawg

 Let me tell you one thing about me that I think is important to know: I'm not good at writing. Or at least I don't think I am. I have a pretty small vocabulary and I don't know how to sort out sentences, really. So I decided to start a blog. Hopefully I can improve from writing some blog posts. I also want to share a bit of my personal life out to the world, and some art too. There's a lot of reasons to start a blog and really no other places to talk and yap about my stuff in the Internet, why not make a place myself?
